Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

Thank you both. I'm trying to get a big bass (female I guess ) and put in my minnow  pond to eat up the extra koi that are being reproduced. If I put in a female, can she produce viable eggs without a male being there? Don't want more bass in there, just one.

Just before and during the spawn if you gently sqeeze their abdominal area a male will expell a white mikly fluid and a female will have yellowish eggs the rest of the year you can judge by size with females almost always being larger. Even here in Florida males rarely exceed 2-3 lbs. If you really look at alot of bass and examine their vents the males is more round while the females vent is elongated.

Depends on the time of year..Spring is easiest to to the sunken belly on the female. Males are chunky from winter but dont have a sunken belly. After spawn , looking at a spawned out female is that she will be super thin. Males keep a little more chunk..The males Down by me during spawn have super red fins. And the ready females have that bright bright red mouth.

Can anyone tell me how to tell a male from a female bass?

We are going deep sea fishing in Jan off the coast of N. Califoria. Fishing for striped bass and sturgeon. Anyone have any clues on fishing for these fish?

Sharon...I don't believe that bass have perforated tongues...might just be a freak or maybe too many times on the hook!

Anyone know if bass have perforated tongues or have I just caught this particular bass so many times his tongue is like swiss cheese?

After fishing for bass for an hour, and getting not a bite, I switched to berkeley balls and fished for bluegill. Caught a 16" bass with berkeley balls.
