Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

Sorry that Berkeley rod is actually rated 1-6 #test. I use 4# though .Nice 7,1/2 ' length which is great for being on top of the rip rap. With the rod held high over the head I kept that bass from burying me in the rocks.

Here's a December Bass,16"2#6oz., that took a floated Fathead Minnow 5' down suspended over 10-12' Off rip rap by an outflow ..Nice tug on a Berkeley Trout Dough Series rod rated for 1-4# test . #6 Aberdeen hook 4# test mono ,Mr Crappie 'Twist on ,Twist off' float .
