check out the gills from today and we are in the colder months cant wait for spring to fish this boring and easy lake lol

Keep doing what you're doing Anthony.........Lake Perris by all accounts would be on my short list of "Bluegill Destinations"......I don't know about the easy part  but I'm ready to be bored to death! Quality and numbers!

You and Sonny always bring in quality gills. WIth Sonny in the driver's seat, finding those quality bluegills is nothing short of knowing the honey spots of that lake. For those who have never fish that lake before, it constantly changes in conditions. If the quality fishes don't migrate too much for the day, the weathers surely drive you insane. Toss in the water enthusiasts doing 50+ mph in that lake, let say it's never a dull moment testing your patience and skills.

way to go Anthony!!   hauling in some big ones;; and with our good friend leadhead!!   it don't get any better than that!!!

Perris continues to be one of the premier public lake venues for trophy coppernose in the nation. Deep water gills have routinely eluded me, as most of my waters are no deeper than 10 feet. My shallow water, float-n-fly tactics would likely only work briefly during the spawn, if at all. I'd need schoolin'!

Indeed Jim. Plenty of spawning periods at this lake. When the water fluctuates due to high demands, and/or distribution intake from the local mountains, the task in predicting where the beds will actually be suddenly create a new level of fun. Sonny knows all the honey spots of that lake. Of course, without a large solid vessel (not float tube or kayak) to position yourself directly over the honey spots, it's impossible to haul them out, unless it's by chance. I'm always in awe at Sonny's finesse methods in pulling them out. It's 80% skills, and 20% blessed luck.

By the way, Lake Skinner is another top tier lake for giant size CN. I can't wait to get an invite to actually fish Lake Matthew. That is the ultimate lake to blow nation's records out of the water..literally.
