Leech Lake Report

Hey i just wanted to say that for the past week, I have been camping at Leech Lake in northern minnesota. The fishing was incredible. After we got done catching walleyes, we went back into the shallow bays with reeds and weeds to catch some bluegills, perch, and try for some crappie. We caught 10 bluegill that were between 9.5 and 11 inches. We also, caught some very nice perch. Sadly, we only caught 1 crappie that was only 9.5 inches, but people were catching 15 inchers all week. I will post pics soon of these incredible bluegill.

Ya i was amazed at how many big bluegill we were catching. The best part is that people seldom ever fish for them. Everyone is focused on the walleyes. Where did you catch your big ones. We caught ours in Portage and Waboose Bay
