Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My least favorite thing to do is cleaning the paint out of the hook eyes on small jigs. I've used different ways but none seem very easy or painless. Using one of those jig eye busters or pin style tools is a waste of time on the small eyes on 1/32 and smaller jigs. What techniques do all you guys use

I have a fly tying needle that I heat up and push it through the eye. It even works on Epoxy.

Great suggestion Dick! You are always a good source of tricks!

I never thought of that. I have like 4 bodkins in my tying tool selection. Thanks a lot for the suggestion

A pin, or a tiny drill bit in a pin vise

Before the paint has a chance to set up, I push a feather V I have already cut through the eyelet and it cleans right out...
