Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The other day I took my family to our favorite C&R big gill lake. Those gills wanted nothing to do with a worm and bobber, or worm on the bottom.

My oldest daughter was getting pretty bummed about not catching anything, as she's an avid big bluegiller herself, so I did the only thing I could think of. Broke out the fly rod!

She thought that was the coolest thing ever. Me, I don't care if she ever touches a fly rod again, I just love seeing that smile!

She's a great kid, with a great knack for catching fish. I loved this story.

This is great ! My granddaughter age 12 is just learning to use the flyrod and she loved it.WE fish out of a 14 ft. boat and I sometimes wish it was longer but the ducking is worth it.
Gonna be tough to find a good enough man for this little lady ! Must have been a wonderful day. steve b
Great fish! If this keeps up, you wont have to worry about picking up a fly rod again.... you'll have to worry about getting it back from her!
OH Yeah! An "Oooh Daddy, I got one!" is all the music a man needs. Cool fish, little lady!
You realize, sir, that you've created another fly fisher?
(tell people to just leave you alone. That may be the only hope of heaven you have!)
1 dozen worms - $1.75
Fishing License - $22.50
Smiling daughter or son - Priceless.

I have 4 hookers myself, when I started letting them flyfish with me I took all the barbs off my hooks, you might loose a fish or two but they are easier to get out of your back. I also make them wear glasses of sometype. Life is Good!
