Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Used Ledhed's chub head jig/slider plastic tail to nail this 11 3/4 inch hybrid on 2- pound mono. What a fight! I'm guessing this fish is close to 1 3/4 pounds.

Yaahh Hooo!

Thanks, y'all! we had a great day, catching about 15 hybs on jigs and topwaters along with some punk bass. Some of our hybs were from a different stock, and they had what appeared to be a 90% bluegill appearance to them, with white edgings on the fins. others had various shades of yellow or orange covering portions of their fins and others had color on the tips of the spiny dorsal fins. Cool looking is right, Kelly!

And, no, I just couldn't keep this fish...to purdy!!!
