Heres my list of the top 3 I use on my lakes and ponds I fish and I just like to let these sink on some clear intermediate sinking like with a strip strip pause and the strips be 2 to 3 inches.

Kelly Gallop's "Sparkbug". Fished on an intermediate sinking fly line or floating. Favorite color black, but color to your choice. Strip and pause, or a hand twist retrieve.
thx greg glad you joined cuz your a true expert in fly fishin for crappie or atleast you are to me lol
Come on Tobias, set you sites HIGH! An expert is just a drip under pressure.
well i geuss you are right its just u dont see a crappie fly fisherman or just bluegill fly fisherman everyday u know

Sometimes easier is better. An egg-sucking leach in a way resembles a jig. I tie the body on a dubbing loop with squirrel dubbing on a size 10 and 8 dry fly hook. When I get into 10 2x long to 8 2x long I use angora goat dubbing . But this could be tied with chenille body. Once again my favorite is black and chartruess.
We have leaches in all our waters here and crappie lovem!!!!!!
The main ingredian is several wraps of lead or lead free wire just behind the eye.
When you strip it it comes up and on the pause it dives head first, just like a leach.

look up panfish charlie,i will put pics up when i got time.tiny version of a crazy charlie saltwater fly.easy tie.similar style to the clouser in the above pics
