Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught my new PB smallmouth this past weekend while fishing a local steam for the first time. It was a good battle on ultralight tackle. I was a bit surprised at finding a fish of this size in the relatively small stream I was fishing.

Thanks, John and Tooty. You might be right Tooty, didn't pass any other anglers and I fished a good half mile stretch that day.

Thanks, Slip. Slowly inching up my PB for this species. The fish gave me a nerve-wracking battle as it momentarily got wrapped behind a big rock then a branch in the water. It was fun trying a new local stream for these smallies.
