Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I'd like to ask all of you you about Golden floats slip on Bobbers and stoppers. It's my favorite float and can't seem to find them in New Jersey anymore .I have only one and would like to get some more.I did a search on the internet but I am coming up empty. If you know of and have any info on the Goldeneye products inc. Mpls.MN.,I would really appreciate some help.

While we are at it what are your favorite floats and stops?I like using the little rubber Eagle claw red and black stops with the Golen Float from Goldeneye productsinc.

I don't have the foam floats as much, but I would say in general taller, skinny floats are the difference between what you are using. The material matters a little, but not as much as shape. I would say avoid plastic. It's heavier, doesn't last as long and relies on seams. It also will melt on you in your tackle box or car and it does warp.
In some instances I have seen anglers fish floats to create surface slurps and disturbance to attract fish like crappie - this is one time I would use the wider shaped floats. But, if fishing live bait and looking for indications of a fish take- always go with the tall, skinny floats- they will show you so much more indication of fish activity, takes and even bait rejections. Most important - they will show you the lift bites- upward takes by fish. Very critical in crappie fishing and Spring bites/cold front bites. I would say important all the time.

I would say however there is a super-premium float that uses a foam base with a tall antenna. This is from Italy and they are the cat's pajamas for performance. They come with 3 different tips and have adjustable weights in the body to compensate for wind. The stem adjusts to raise or lower the antenna (without removing the float or weights!). I fish the orange tip when in bright light and most of the time. As dusk approaches, I switch to the yellow tip and can see on the dark water until late sunset.
U.S. floats are mostly based on cheap - not performance. I am very excited to announce that my floats are ordered and will be back from the manufacturer very soon so I can post photos and uses for these.

I so love catching fish - my only fear is that this business would cut into my fishing time. That said, I think I can really get the majority of my business catalog done in late winter when I wasn't able to fish previously.

Thank you for sending me your music- I will try to produce a new opening using that either Cabin Fever or Trout and Daylilies - both of these are perfect for this time of year!! I am lov'n it!

John the Golden Eye is a foam float with a glass(i guess)insert to slide line through. Its not necessarily my favorite anymore but it was the one that got me started with slip floating last year. What is your feeling about foam slip floats compared to Balsa?,which I'm using also. Here'

I'll have to create a help photograph and show you how to tie your own - then all you will need is the bead. Use the same mono from your reel- you just need a small beed that will stop on that knot - it is quick and easy. We'll set you up with some slip floats too! Can you describe the Golden float?
