Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fish were tight to a 3 to 10 foot drop off with wind blown bait pods........start your bait shallow and twitch it to the drop off and wait two to three seconds.......BAM!

After missing most of the summer this year in recovery, things have picked back up and my Crappie total for 2017 is 2,051 and Bluegill sits at 3,345..........This year has provided me reasons for reflection and I'm most thankful for being able to get back on the water......It's easy to take things for granted but the eight weeks I wasn't cleared to go was humbling........

These waters are so full of forage it's hard to believe you can still get a bite..........fish have been full bodied and strong this Fall

Although I was close, I actually found today's fish by accident.......high winds pushed me off the cover I was fishing and I immediately had a strike on an adjacent drop off.........tossed out a buoy marker and caught over 40 in a ten foot square.......these fish should be available through Thanksgiving before going deep................it was exciting!
