Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Are there others in north east NC who enjoy fishing for bluegills? I live in Arrowhead Beach and finding gills in this rather large river system is a daunting task. Thanks to an article written in a magazine by a gentleman from Windsor I was able to enjoy some good fishing at the rt.45 bridge and the Cashie River So many choices and so little time left in my lifetime. What a wonderful place to live.

I'm in Elizabeth City Fred and still at the Navy Yard.........too many places to fish....not enough time yet!

Hi Jeffrey, Though I am retired I don't go fishing as much as I like for old age is now setting my limits.Fred

Good you're able to get a chance to fish. What flies do you use?

Hi Damon,I make anything I can with sheet foam ,rubber legs and arctic fox tail.Mostly sliders, poppers and spiders.Crease flies with glass rattles, yarn worms also inch worms. Most of my experiments are failures but once in awhile I come up with a real good one I named the incredible because it is.Though I am retired I don't get out often because of health issues and too many irons in the fire plus old age limits my endurance.Fred

too many places?what a wonderful dilemma to have.

Hi Jim,Stange how a  dilemma can be a blessing.
