Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Notes from a Nebraska bluegill derelict.

Something came in the mail a couple days ago...

At first I thought maybe it was from my M.D.  He's been pushing me to eat better, and as you can see there were some pretty good items here.  But then I realized it was from my BBG buddies.

First of all there were saltine crackers.  Always good for someone like me who likes to talk too much.  A mouthful of these and nobody can understand a lick of what you're saying.  If you're sneaking up on bedding bluegills, this will keep you from making too much noise.

Then there were some sardines in oil.  As far as I can tell, this was sent to me in sympathy for all the small fish I catch.  These sardines were bigger than most of the bluegill I catch, so it gave me some perspective...

Then there were the fake teeth.  Evidently, since I'm a dentist I can use these as a learning tool in my office.  Luckily in Nebraska, most people actually have their own teeth, but for the ones that don't, I can show them what a functional dentition looks like.

Most importantly, we had the PIGS FEET.  The fact that the word "pigs" is plural, confused me.  I couldn't tell if it meant the feet belonged to pigs at one point, or if it was just an indication that it took multiple pigs to make the necessary sacrifice to create such a bottle.  I've never tried PIGS FEET, or PIG'S FEET, so I think I may just use this as a display item in my man room.  I'm guessing that if I leave them in the bottle, like cockroaches and Hostess HoHo's, they will outlast the human race during a nuclear holocaust.

A guy named CARL signed the note, but I suspect there were other nefarious contributors to this box of goodies, (which, incidentally included floss), and I think you all know who he is.  But I want to thank all of the contributors, for this present, and to the forum in general for being so nice to me.  I consider you all to be great friends.

A GREAT BIG THANKS TO ALL!!!

Bruce

Bruce, pigs feet are awesome. Being Italian my Dad and I used to cook pigs feet in spaghetti sauce until they were tender. Then, we'd spread newspaper out on the table, put on some bibs, and go after them. It disgusted my Mother, but we had a great time.
