Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Since there is a forum for the biggest BG that got away, I thought I would start one for the smallest. Today, after dragging a good fighter through the debris on the edge of the pond, I finally got it up above the water. It was about 1" long if you include the tail. It was even smaller than the fry we stocked about 6 weeks ago. It also dropped off the hook as I was staring at it. Lets see who can top that!

yup, you sure are :-)
are the minnow your adding going to eat your fish
Never thought of that, maybe I should stick with mosquito fish
ecxept...I got a picture of mine. (its in my pics)
once my dad was bass fishing with a crawler spinner and as he started to cast he noticed a bass minnow about 11/2 or 2 inches on the end of his worm stuck. it bit the worm but was so small it couldnt bite it off or spit it out. still the strangest thing i have seen in 20 years.still tease him about that big one
Unfortunately I DO have a picture of the littlest on my page that I caught "snagged" late this summer.
I looked on your page but can't find it. How long was it? Did you take the tiny BG prize from me? lol
The problem I have is not matter what I catch MaMaw always out fish me. If she wasn't good with the net I'd leave her butt at the house.
he he he, maybe you should just set inside and watch football!
I was fishing one time and the biggest bluegill I had ever seen was going up to hit a Rapala bass lure. From out of nowhere this little bitty bluegill came up and hit it before the hulk could get there, spooking the monster.

Was I happy? lol. I threw that one on the bank.
Todays catch - 3.5"

Look! after 1 year, he's grown 1/4".
