Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Show me your boat or describe what your dream panfish boat would be like.  I am thinking about getting a Tracker Panfish 17 boat in the near future.  I want a boat without tall casting decks, mainly so that my little Grandson can be introduced to fishing by walking on the bottom floor instead of up high where he would be more prone to falling off.  I also like the ledge all around the boat to sit on, and built in rod lockers. If I want to cast up high there is enough of a front casting deck to do so.  And I have been looking at used models that seem to go in the 4K range with a 4 stroke 40HP motor on them, which would likely fill all my needs for speed and trolling.  If anyone has one, please respond with your comments on the Tracker or post a picture of your boat.

Thanks

theirs always something to be said for canoe and kayak fishing for gill... rigged jon boats and rigged canoes/yaks are complimentary to each other. there are areas and lakes that don't have access like the yak. since i own both i cannot make a choice between one and not having the other.

with my physical condition it was very difficult for me to get out there on my little yak this year. i need the ability to stand once in awhile or my trip is short lived. so im going to be upgrading this year to a nu-canoe and/or gheenoe with a grab bar. both are very stable platforms and allow you to stand very easily.

I love my 92' Bass Tracker Pro 17. It has all the bells and whistles and I got it on Craigslist for a decent price a few years ago. I paid $4200 for her. An older gentleman owned it and only fished out of it a few times due to health reasons. It has a 40 horse Evinrude on it and I have never had a problem out of it. The boat did not even look used at all when I bought it. It certainly does not look that way now. It was my first boat and I have banged it up a little but she still looks good. She is in the shop right now getting a new trim unit and some tlc done on the motor. She should be ready in a few weeks just in time to catch a few fish. There are a lot of nice used boats out there. My wife and I are relocating out East in a few years. By then I might be ready for a new one. I might just bless one of my boat less fishing buddies with her when we leave. She has been a blessing to me and maybe I can bless someone else with her. I would definitely not hesitate to buy another Tracker. My only preference next time would be to add a 24 volt trolling motor. The 12 volt does a great job but you can stay out in the wind even longer with a 24 volt system.
