20150830_ MY BFOTD! 96% Master Angler Rated

20150830- good day catching top tiered Michigan b'gills drop shotting the Pink Waxie

20150830- ONE OF THE FEW 9"+ CLASS B'GILLS

congrats to Earl on his P B  bull head !  sounds like you guys had a great time ;; caught a lot of nice size fish !

thanks Carl! it was a great time its just as exciting to see some one catch a Master Angler as catching one yourself. Earl will be permanently in the books ranked with the other Master Anglers in Michigan.

while you and i were on the phone talking yesterday Earl pulled into my drive to offer to take us fishing and tow my boat to the lake of my choice. i was ecstatic and i believe he was well rewarded with that fish... lol

20150831-I had a great offer from Earl yesterday for a tow with my “Top Predator” jon boat and am very thankful. Its nice to get away from my daily driver (*kayak) once in awhile and get back into a real fishing machine. We did very well fishing from it yesterday… days like that are hard to beat, but its now back to reality and to the daily grind of Wixom Lake.

I don’t mean to complain it’s a lake in close proximity but at most times its extremely lean on the panfish numbers. This area of the lake is not noted for panfishing period. I did catch a couple Master Angler White Bass within a couple months of each other and some notable crappie within the 90% Master Angler Rating. Those are good fish, but there are other areas of the lake that production is much greater and well noted. These are temporarily out of reach for now with me probably for the remainder of the season due to the car SUV mechanical problem.

Fishing is my number one therapy for now and I will continue finding a way to persist. Fishing from shore or the kayak will continue for now.

hey slip stinker;; just think;; if I hadnt called you;; you would have already been gone fishing!!  then you wouldnt be fishing with Earl;; and see him catch his P B !!

20150901- well it's really tough for me to take 2 days off in a row from fishing... It's my therapy it's my addiction it's my life... Been through a lot of lower back pain neck pain and arm pain past couple days. counting on going out tomorrow in this nice stretch of hot unseasonable September weather... The fish should be on a terror... Counting on it

Going to start the day by mapping a stretch of Lake north of the bridge.

hey slip stinker;; you could always come on down !!  and help me do some painting !  while you paint;; I;ll go fishing !!  LOL

in pain for that full day sunday with a few hours out in the boat. .. It was worth it
