Thanks Ken. I'll have the finder on by next week or maybe later this week. It shouldn't take to long to do my 3/4 acre pond should it?  Do I need to purchase anything else?

I purchased a vinyl transducer mounting block for the transom. It made installation easier and in the future if I ever swap out transducers I wouldn't be re drilling through the boat

Good idea but I think I'll just mount it on a board and c-clamp it to the transom.

that's right your main use for the transducer will be on the tube. that would make a great temporary mount
I'd say it will take you less than an hour to do your pond.

I'll let you know when I'm ready on my end then if you would school me on my pond map. Thanks Ken.....

I am very seriously considering getting a lowrance model 5 chirp.  do a little shuffleing with the units I already have;; make the 5 chirp my main running unit.  thinking of mounting my grey scale unit; on to a pvc pipe;;  dip into brush  piles;; around boat houses; etc.  wonder if it would work as a --- side image.  thing is; to be able to check out areas; I cant get to with my boat.

slip stinker;;;  thats the one I had planned to get !! remember our phone conversation??  whoooooops;; I forgot;; you slept since then;; LOL
