Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I've been in Texas fishin' for Texas Red-Eyes!

I've also been catching lots of these "Non-bluegills".

They loved little pieces of nightcrawler. We were fishing for bluegill, and we kept catching these things. I'll admit, it was fun.

The meat was flavorful. These fish were pellet fed, which I believe makes them better table fare than if they ate vegetation all the time. I'll further research this.

What a monster! It looks like a tilapia, but way bigger and way lighter colored than the ones my wife gets at our local Asian market. Wow! I've never fished tilapia, what do you use to catch them?
