Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Took the top piece of a BNM bamboo pole was was able to make a 5 foot pole for micro fishing. Used green twine to make a handle. Total cost was able $5.00  I was able at catch 35+ gills in the 2-3 inch range. Small gills were feeding close to shoreline.

Total blast, poles are the way to go.

I did that recently, Joe. Because of overhanging branches, I needed a short pole.
So took off the butt cap of my 15 ft tele and removed the tip section. It worked fine, and let me at least work under the dense canopy.
I've got a little 9 footer in my stash that works well in tight spots, too.

I use a 9 foot Mr Crappie telescopic. It's my favorite for dapping #12 dry flies on 2 lb test.

Very nice top action.
