bet your glad a smoke stack wasn't there to!!  those things have a terrific up draft!! a smoke stack is usually around 600 feet high!!  before I retired I have helped to build  at least 11 of those!!

I was a very busy fellow, there was a cell tower on one side of the hwy and a vey tall antenna on the other side of the hwy as well as some high-tension power lines. I had to get down under 600 feet AGL at one point to get some pictures of the property, house and dock for the owners. Flying the airplane, taking pictures and keeping track of EXACTLY where I was all the time.  I also couldn't fly directly over any other houses, buildings etc while I was below 1000 AGL (above ground level) or I would have been in violation of federal aviation regulations. (did't want to loose my license) It took me about 30 minutes to get all the pictures. When I finally climbed back up to altitude, I was ready to go back to my home airport and land. The owner and his wife are very nice people and wanted me to get some aerial pictures so, I just couldn't refuse. The pictures came out very well and I burned them all to a DVD and presented it to them on my next trip out there. This has become my favorite place to fish. I have caught several Copper-Heads that were over 2 pounds. On days the Copper-Heads were not biting, the LM Bass made up for it (one afternoon I caught 32 of them). I used to work for the owner years ago (telephone co) and I feel blessed that he lets me fish there...........Don in SC
