thanks bob-the best day i ever had ice fishing was at night on some really clear ice.snuck into an old gravel pit .we had a lantern and were on a drop off that went from 8 feet to 25+.right on the weed line .it was like fishing on glass.we were after crappies with minnows and started catching monster carp.8-10 pounders on minnows.15 to 20 minute battles and you could see the whole thing thru the clear ice.we must have caught 20 of them.
