Yep, different parts of the country will call the same fish different things....I'm always amazed at all the names, and in the end, what does it matter? As long as everyone knows what fish you're referring to, and you're not writing a scientific paper.......

 

I was an adult, well out on my own before I knew that Green Sunfish weren't actually called "old Fasioned Bluegills".....
