Another lucky young man went with me to Bluegill heaven for a few hours this morning before the storms chased us at 12:30, but we made lots of memories before that! Great day Eric...we'll look back on this one for years to come!

Thanks Carl, Jacob and Tony......The main difference this season Jacob, I'm home to fish.....I was down in South Carolina during the Spring for work several times last year..... May is normally my third best month behind June and July...... I have to go to Hawaii for work later this Summer for about a month.....got to get my fishing in before that trip.....Yeah that tail accounted for much of the length on this fish Tony....

What a beautiful fish! Tall and a big tail so not surprising it was a great fight. You're on them this spring! Is this one of the better May's you've had down there?

I had just cleaned up from a 17" Bowfin when this guy latched on......I was using a micro cast Zebco 11 Gold series with 6 pound test and I got very nervous when this fish rolled by the boat two times before we finally got it netted...didn't want to pick it up and take a chance....I immediately retied after that feeling very lucky that I got him in........He looked liked the Sunday paper in the landing net......Three cheers for a great day on the Bluegill hole....I was glad Eric was with me because he starts football camp at East Carolina soon and will miss quality time on the water......
