Am just making up a batch for spring trout camp, thought I'd share. Ya need a 2 or 2 1/2 gallon ziplock baggie. Gorilla tape, or of course, duct tape. The handy mans secret weapon ! you use @ 4" of tape to re-inforce upper corner near zip opening. You use a paper punch to make hole in middle of tape swatch. You use a shower curtain clip to go thru punched hole and connect to belt loop. Enough for limit of little brook trout,etc.. You owe me a beer if ya use this ! steve b
Hey Steve, I'll probably owe ya a beer after tomorrow morning! Great idea on the creel,I'll be heading out for the PA opener (near Pittsburgh) and rarely keep any,but your handy, dandy creel will allow me to pack 2-3 away for my 90 yr old mom (who loves trout)! Plus it'll fit with the rest of my economical tackle -pliers, 2 or 3 spare jigs, and my ultralight! YOU have a great day out there, weather seems perfect! JOHN
Am home from camp, Elk co., Pa.. Full limits of 10-14 Brookies, some type of hybrbeds mixed in to. Creels again worked great, just big enough for 5 trout. steve b
Oops ! 10-14 INCH brookies. Limits consist of 5 fish per day, 10 in possesion after first day. I brought home 10. I mentioned length due to changes in stocking procedures over the yrs in Penn. Used to be allowed 8 fish, but they'd be 8-10". Kinda like the change, fewer fish, but larger. Same budget to raise. steve b
