Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was thinking about the fact that my favorite spinning rods are my old fiberglass ones, and that got me to thinking about glass fly rods. Anybody fishing an old Feralite Fenwick? What model do you have? I'm thinking maybe an FF90 or 85 for bass, and ??? for gills?

I have several of the old Fenwick Feralite fly rods, and they are a hoot, I have them from 6' to 8' and they all fish very well, fun for bluegill and trout, I have a few of the older yellow fenwick fiberglass spinning rods, they are a hoot for panfish and trout fishing, and being yellow they are hard to lose :)

I have a Fenwick Feralite ff705(7ft,5wgt)fiberglass rod I got somewhere around

the 60's or early 70's.I use this rod all the time.I also own a old fiberglass Browning

71/2 ft fly rod which I use a lot also.

I have several Fenwick FF series Flyrods, but my favorite that I sell use for bluegill is my little FF60 6 footer. It's actually a very nice flyrod for small brushy streams too.

The FF60 sounds really sweet. There's one on eBay right now, but for the way-too-rich-for-my-blood price of $250.  Must be a rare item!

Planning on getting an FF80 for bigger-than-panfish use. What reels do you like on that rod? Do you like the rated 8-weight line on these, or are they nicer going up or down 1 weight?
