the only place i know is in florida shown to me by roland martin on tv that i would love to go to some day is lake okeechobee, and if you do get to check this place out please send us some pics/footage.

hey i live in mid ga but travel all over the state to fish. south ga is a dream for big panfish. the altamaha river is loaded, 1lb + bluegill and shellcracker all day. the satilla river is redbreast heaven. never fished it but ive heard the savanah river is pretty good as well. as for florida, the st.johns river is great but thats as far as my florida exp. goes. there are several public lakes in south ga as well, but id stick with the rivers if you have a capable boat.

Tomas thanks for the feed back. Im gonna visit my nephew he lives in jessup but works on a military base near savannah, cant wait to hit warm weather and panfish

jesup is the closest town to the public ramp i use on th altamaha river. i believe its called williamsburg wma boat ramp. just put in and go up or down river. this section is lined with dead lakes. you're subject to fill the cooler in any one you choose. the pic attached is from a day in early april last year from this section of the altamaha.

Don't know what track you're taking down South or how much time you will have but if you go I-95, take a look at Santee Cooper Lakes, I-95 cuts right through the lakes and business starts picking up in March....South Carolina is still very friendly for non-resident licenses, you can fish freshwater for 7 days for just $11.00.........Plenty places to launch your boat and many guides are available for all inclusive trips for 2 around $250.00.......Just a thought......Don't know the Savanah area or central Florida that well but maybe I at least planted a seed.......

Thanks Jeffery ill be going i-95 will take a look
