Love your pics. Here at Britt Park ponds the crappie or the shell crackers never bit. Last year with minnows you were catching them left and right. This year it was very bad. Recon what you call bluegill I call brim. But i have never seen pan fish that big. Is there a size limit on Bluegill? I know crappie is 8 inches in our ponds. At Jorden Lake is 10 inches

Thanks for accepting, I really enjoy your pictures. It's always interesting to see what people in other parts of the country are catching, especially when they're fine specimens of their species.

Hey Jeffrey, I mostly fish Lake Murray, the Saluda River and several ponds in and around Columbia. My son lives in Summerville (and on a pond) but I haven't fished Santee in a number of years. I used to fish there a lot but it kept getting more and more crowed and the fishing fell off compared to what it was years ago. Maybe we can share some water this year. Jeffrey...the storm petered out and we only got a few inches of snow...fine with me!

They are calling for 12 to 18 inches of snow in my yard tomorrow. I have nowhere I have to be and nothing to do except open up four different driveways and parking areas, and I likely won't get to that until late in the day or even Thursday morning.

just keeping in touch...white perch will show up and the bite will be on in a couple of weeks....will visit nc a couple of times in march, to help dennis out, and will do some exploring down there...in late afternoons....maybe  we could get together for dinner one evening, our treat...

hey jeff--dennis mentioned  that coppernose bg are leader shy....do you find that to be so...as i fish with true turn hooks, with leaders.....what would you recommend...i can tie on a hook with floro carbon, but that take extra effort and time....

Im going to head out to the creek on saturday and see what i can pull out using both artificial and live.Ill post pics if i do any good.Hopefully i dont bring a skunk home:)

    You got it,anyone who enjoys fishing for gill as much as i do is automatically cool with me:)Plus i plan on trying artificials this yr for the 1st time and you seem to have it all down when it comes to that.

hey jeff... hope to be down in a couple weeks with dennis...willl stay in williamston....hopefully get a bag of oysters and have a roast....maybe you and one of your buddies could come over and help get rid of them....also, tentativly firmed up date for to come down first week in may...with fishing buddy from up here....fish 3rd, 4th, 5th, and head home on mon 6th....actually, am ready to come down this afternoon....chomping at the bit...cant wait..

I caught all those on tiny pieces of shrimp,all on the bottom in about 6 to 7ft of water.
