I am new to this site and with family obligation not much time for fishing.  Last years fishing time was spent

teaching one of my 5 year old grandsons how to fish for bluegill.  But this site lets me enjoy fishing thru your stories and photos.  You are a family willing to teach and help another fishing person.

It's funny when you think about it.  I was almost embarrassed to admit that I was a grown man that loved to fish for Bluegill, more than any other fish!  Then I met LedHed, then I found BigBluegill, and now it's like I have a whole army of fellow Bluegillers to share techniques, methods, stories and photos of our favorite fish!  I find that I go to this website several times a day, just to see what's new.  I'm sure I'm not alone too.

What I love about this site is the hospitality.  Everyone makes you feel welcome to comment, share pictures and ideas.  Have viewed several other sites that were geared toward fishing and fly tying but this is the only one I have felt comfortable to join.  It's like, If you don't mind my Southern slang, a bunch of good ol' boys on here.  Thanks to all who make this possible.

I have loved this site since I joined about 4 years ago. I love it because of all the questions I have had answered and the help I have received. Every time I have posted a discussion or responded to a comment, I have always got help back. It's amazing the amount of effort guys will go to to help someone out on here. This is one of the best if not the best fishing forum I have ever been a part of. Thanks everyone.

I love this site simply because of it's specificity. There are all types of other fish posted here frequently also, BUT there isn't another site online anywhere that i've encountered yet, that actually shows the bluegill and other panfish the respect that this particular site expresses. I love catching ANYTHING that will bend my rod, I'm not picky, and I don't discriminate when it comes to fish species. This site is a fishing based site that actually has stuck to it's roots and not evolved into a meeting ground for people to post and argue over politics, gas prices, and firearms. Simply fishing is what it's all about. Thanks, not only to Bruce, but to everyone that posts pics, discussions and comments here that we all can share and learn from. I think i speak for everyone when i say i really appreciate the efforts put forth by everyone involved here.

Two things because you can't pick one.

1) the people are awesome and I've already gained at least one fishing buddy from my few months of being here.

2) the amount of knowledge that's shared is incredible.  from the different groups to just quick answers to questions that you ask.

I like seeing pics of huge bluegills and happy anglers.  It's nice to share baits, secrets, and tactics with those who have the same passion for this cool fish.  Some "hardcore" bass or walleye anglers may snub their nose at bluegill and think that a BIG Bluegill is an oxymoron, but that's fine with me because bluegill are my favorite and I will have more to catch. Don't get me wrong, if it has gills I will try and catch it, but I pursue the elusive two pounder like it is Moby Dick!

i like seeing pictures mostly of jigs and flies but also all the fish people are catching. thanks to tooty and bruce for making this all possible.

The thing I like most about this site is the feeling of being part of a family that all share one passion, and that is the pursuit of big blue gills. It is great to be a part of a site where everyone shares their ideas on catching big gills no matter what their experience level may be. Thank you Bruce and Tooty, for all the hard work you have done to insure this is the best site ever.  Big Blue Gill ROCKS!!!!!
