Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

hey everyone i'm kinda new here and iv been needing some help with trying to catch some quality gill and i don't know were to go here in southern California (Fillmore Californian to be specific)  to find them. i mostly fish from land but am trying to figure out how to make a kayak of duct tape to tack with me. anything and everything helps.

Jose, the closest qualifying water body that contain any good gills will be Castaic. However, the lagoon won't offer you that large size that you're looking for. You have to be on the boat, and hunt the deeper water of the main lake. Been there numerous times. If you have a float tube/boat, hunt the northeastern side of the lake, where the gills and crappie will make you smile from ear-to-ear.

Other than that, you can try your luck at the Elderberry Forebay. I have yet to hunt that ground.

thanks for the info but i think that might be out of my rang, but ill still try to make some plans for a fishing trip with my brothers to get there.

Lake Perris and Lake Skinner have some nice BGs.
