Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Best Of October 2017....Tidal Crappie on The Albemarle

The month started on the Coastal Marsh with some solid fish on shallow cover.......

All of these ventures are on pole and line........I loved this technique as a kid and go back to it every year.......

The Pasquotank River basin hasn't let be down in more than 20 years in the Fall........when the cotton turns white the crappie will be on shallow cover....

A quick stop on the Pecan Orchard proves worthy.....

Spice Island did not disappoint........

So, what's the plan for the fall and winter seasons? Still going out for the hunts on the possible monsters lurking among the waters?

These came on a falling wind tide in Fork Creek South.........

In a Late October fog........big slabs always look good......

Probably the last trip of October as work is busy and Tropical Storm Phillipe has combined with a major cold front to shut us down on this Sunday..........great fishing and mild weather was the theme....
