Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Obviously I didn't do any DNA testing, but here's the numbers from my Richmond Mill data.

303 bluegill from 1.5-1.99 pounds    250 CNBG and 53 Northern strain
37 bluegill from 2.0-2.99 pounds     19 CNBG and 18 Northern strain
3 bluegill from 3.00 + pounds         2 CNBG and one that was probably northern.

Bruce with all them quality fish you are truly the Gillmaster here buddy. You know before I found this site I didn't have any idea a gill could grow to the sizes that they do but being almost home bound with situation here at home and the trusty computer (THANKS LEO) there is much info out there to be had and BBG started me wanting more and more on this most interesting subject. I found a group of people who wanted the same things that I did and a finer group you'll never find, a sharing group of people who would love nothing more but to help a fellow fisherman out. Now I'm seeing picture after picture of monster Gills by different people on this site and I'm not envious of them I'm truly glad for them. You gave me a goal which will probably never be obtainable  for me not in this lifetime but I'll have fun trying, trying for that monster I never knew existed a couple years ago a new dream and every chance that I do manage to make it out who knows it may be that next cast. Thanks buddy
