i purchased a nice Redington Fly Rod combo off of amazon for around $80 been using it for the last year and it has held up pretty well. It was 6'6" 5-6 wt. The set contained everything needed to fish except fly's.

academy has some pre packed shakesphere fly rigs around 40 dollars, i have never used it so cant say if its good or bad but for a rod reel line all ready to go it would be worth a try to see if you like fly style.

Sorry, forgot to add. For the time being, don't use tippets. Just practice using mono lines for the leader/tippet. Just to get a feel of it. Once you got the casts down, then slowly focus on more of the tippets, if you believe you need it. I didn't start with tippets, used it for a few months, and just go back to the mono/flouro leaders. Now I make my own furled leaders. Just as good, if not better, for my turbulence water anyway.

Very nice beginner's combo. I have that combo to teach my 14 years old. Can't stand too many abuses though. Just make sure not to slam it too often onto the ground.

also whats the tippet, line backing and and leaders and line? is it lick normal line or dose it have to be something specifically made for fly fishing?

If you have Bass Pro Shop or Cabela near by, go and visit the store. White River has plenty of the beginner's combos, in the 5/6 wt category, with large arbor (large reel), 5'2" to 7'8", roughly around $60, with lines loaded. Shakespeare also carry a few beginner's 5/6wt category for about $40, with lines loaded, at Walmart. Okuma combo that I've seen also found at Walmart for $65. Since you are starting out, possibly like me in the days, you tend to go ballistic during the fights, rather being finesse about the lines. 5/6wt will be a good starting point to catch from gills, to trouts, up to 5lbs bass. Large carps and cats, be weary. You may break your line, and possibly rod, if you are not a bit gentler during the battle.

i might even try to go after some bass as well.
