Do you love big bluegill?

Big Bluegill smashing in Southern California.

I am in the coachella Valley area of southern California. I have been catching big bluegill for my entire life and have some incredible fishing holes nearby. Anyone in my area ?

That's great Stephen. We'll get together for an outing when I get there. Where do you like to fish the most?

Good luck and tight lines. Two days of straight enjoyment, and plenty of fish tacos and fried slabs to boost..jealous!

Welcome to Big Bluegill Stephen. I'm orginally from Southern California, but living in North Carolina now. My parents live not to far from you, Rancho Mirage. When I get out to visit them, maybe we can plan an outing with the rest of the Big Bluegillers in the area.

Sounds good Leo. I have been getting limit of gills and crappies for about 6 weeks now. Its awsome how the gills are a very light green color when they are caught then turn darker out of the water. I guess there pre spawn.

Stephen, have yet to venture there. Sounds tempting. Would love to hunt the ground with you when the in-laws visit again in a short few months. Perfect time for spawning.
