Welcome aboard something I talked about for awhile. I know I have much to learn myself and hopefully with all the knowledge on this site we can become better accustomed with our electronics.
Glad it's not severe....Hope you guys get some rain....I would be willing to share....we've had it all weekend on the Atlantic coast....only good for cooking Gumbo and watching football........
You guys getting severe weather tonight? Thought I saw some warnings flash for Central Louisiana.....
Its a nice little bayou, that's my dad's home bayou......Getting developed quite a bit but it's still not too bad during the week...alligators have made quite a comeback in Bayou Lacombe as well........In the early years, I would get dumped there, Big Branch Bayou and Bayou Castine in my canoe and we made some great memories back in the 70s.......
Cool Deal.....my dad wouild rather catch a Goggle-eye on a fly rod as anything.....Check out the group "Wild about Warmouth" when you get a chance... I would love to have someone fishing in Louisiana adding photos and testimony to this group...I wanted to call it ''goggle-eye" group real bad, but the rest of the country calls them Warmouth! Have a good weekend Wag..we're socked in with wind and rain in North Carolina this weekend....Looking forward to Spring!
Then you probably know where the old Coast Guard station was in Madisonville and possibly the rice fields......Tchefuncte River was great for winter crappie and cats....My dad and I fished the old sunken barges when they were still there.......Lots of big Goggle-eye in the rice fields on fly rod......Wife and I love to chicken neck for blue crabs, I have a phtot album on my page of the big blue crabs we catch here in Carolina but I miss the days we waded on Ponchartrain for soft shells and big hard crabs...........Looking forward to the Spring
Welcome to the site Wag, I'm originally from Louisiana and now make my home in North Carolina.....This is a great page and there is lots of information here...Tons of good ideas and plenty of information sharing....Where do you fish in Louisiana, I grew up in the Southeastern part of the state in Mandeville and my parents lived on Toledo for 20 years before moving back home.....I still enjoy getting back about once a year......Great to have you, look forward to some photos from the bayou......I can help get you through the picture uploading when you get ready.......
Welcome aboard Jayson to the bigbluegill.com. At this site we have lots and lots of information all you have to do is look, learn and enjoy. We have blogs that are interesting in themselves each one loaded with information all we have to do is look at them read them and learn from them. We have forums another tool to spread information on the site either in a question or shared gathered information so don't be afraid to participate, its a learning tool we can all learn something from. If we have knowledge of the subject matter please share so we can learn also, we all want to learn that's why where here. On the site is tons of information for us to fine tune our skills. When we do get to go out and fish we are learning maybe even using some of our new learned skills. Don't be afraid to share your fishing experiences with us we would love to hear about them. We have one of the best photo sections I know of anywhere put in by the members. There are fish pictures not just bluegills but lots of different species with lots of the quality picture's. Again it's there for us to use and get lost in all those quality photo's. No site would be complete without a video section and we have a great one with lots of video's to look at. There is so much to see on the site you can't help but to learn something about fishing and that's really why we are here to learn and have fun doing it. Then last of all we have a chat line which is very under utilized but there to use, you must be logged on to participate in any activity other than that it is read only. Enjoy our site and learn so we can become better fisherman and in turn enjoying our sport a little bit more. Have fun with the site and GOODFISHIN..
