Hey Micah, always glad to see people on the site who want to learn from others. I am formerly from Louisville, lived there from 63' to 05'. I was in my teen years before I started fishing, and it didn't take long before I was hooked on ultra light only. Where do you get to fish at? I was a Rough River Rat, but sometimes went to Nolin or Green River. As I got older I started catching bigger bluegill, guess I figured out a little something over time. CRICKETS, worms, CRICKETS, wax worms, CRICKETS, crawlers, CRICKETS........ Lakes CRICKETS, creeks worms. Good luck and remember just Fish.

Hello Micah and welcome to a fun and informative site. I have started catching bigger gills since joining in with this bunch. A 10 incher puts up a nice fight huh? Crickets are my favorite bait with redworms a distant second. I can't argue with the pics of big gills caught on all kinds of artificials posted here though.

I hope you enjoy your visits here as much as I do mine. Join the discussions, post some questions and don't believe anything we say until you give it a try. We are fishermen, sometimes we lie!!!!!!
