Thanks Keith .I catch very few Crappie on spinners but the ones I do are good sized ! I recall catching a 9" Bluegill on a #2 spinner once also.

Brings back memories of my younger years.

Back in my teen years (60s) I used to use small spinners almost exclusively for crappie. A Garcia Mitchell 308, UL rod, and small spinners were very effective. I've even tied up the canoe to a downed tree in the creek and jigged a spinner with good results.
