Take notice folks.......this jig will be a featured bait in my arsenal in 2015........We did good on the mantis jigs last year Allen and they caught their share of fish.......these Electric Chicken jigs will separate from most of the pack on the Albemarle........I've already begun to set up some new poles to be ready for the anticipated warm up here in late March..........
Ok, I just typed up a Step-by-step. Be advised that the steps didn't post in order, so I've got them numbered.

Thanks again Keith and Allen for your willingness to share with others.......this is the cornerstone of BBG.....
Thanks Allen that would be great Mark
Mark, give me a few days, and I'll try to get a SBS posted. It's actually a rather easy tie, but the tail is complex.
What was the recipe for these any info would be great Mark
These are crafted nicely Mark.......I will be getting more of these at Allen;s convenience........The 1/32 variety is a 3,000 fish per year jig in my region.........in line with the silent stingers from Tooty, jelly jigs from Dick Tabbert and the Gronaw Grass Shrimp Jigs,,,,,,
The wide gap is excellent for tipping Allen.......Jim Gronaw has made several "river critters" with the sickle and I really like them........I put a pinched wiggler on the 1/64th for the gills and experienced a high ratio of hook sets,,,,that's a good thing in the cold water I fished yesterday when the bites are light in most cases.....I like the mantis jigs but these are and improvement on that design as well......the painted heads on the two I used yesterday were like new after nearly 50 fish between them......
Jeff, just read the other post where you were tipping with minnows. I take it these sickle hooks work good for that? I figured they would, with the bigger gap.
Sleepy, thanks! I've got to get out and see how the local Crappie likes them.
nice jig
