Winter Daily Double.......Morgan Electric Chicken Victims......1/11/2015
Got some incredible looking ball jigs with sickle hooks from Allen Morgan earlier this week......had to get out this weekend and splash them.......the 1/32 tipped with minnows caught these speckles and the 1/64th variety caught some nice gills and Fliers also.......they will be a special bait this season.......

Thanks Allen,,,,,these speckled perch become very predictable in our area rivers when the water temps dip below 40......we've been 34 to 36 since Thursday hence the skim ice and the fish stack up like firewood......yesterday the crappie were near bottom in 16 to 18 feet and I reached gills in the 10 to 12 foot band..........this was more like a February pattern which would be as close to ice fishing as we could have here........Duck hunters broke up the launch area and channel to assist me with reaching these holes.....
