Hybrid bluegill. Stock some in my pond but seems all the trace genetics is all gone now.

These fish are naturally occurring blue Gill green sunfish cross, one of the lakes I fish have many large specimens. Nebraska game and parks are going to stock these hybrids as part of their stocking program.

A couple other things that make me think hybrid on this fish are the cheek striations and those dorsal spines. I've yet to catch a greenie with such pronounced white-tipped dorsal spines, like many of your coppernose exhibit.

And those cheeks look a little different from the pure greenies I catch. The marking on the green sunfish I get are pencil thin whereas those on the hybrids tend to be bolder. Here's a greenie from I caught last year showing similar marking to the fish Jim posted a pic of. More characteristics of a pure greenie are shorter and more rounded pectoral fins, longer overall dynamics and a very large mouth.

The bottom fish is a hybrid, albeit crossed with a northern bluegill.

This is just what I'm seeing anyway. Regardless of what exactly this fish is, it's a great fish.

These fish are super territorial.  They have their own "property lines" which they will violently defend!  We made the mistake of putting two of these pretty fish in a large aquarium, and quickly one of them became the dominate fish, killing the other sunfish in a very short time.  Didn't seem to bother the cichlids, it just went after the other Green Sunfish!
