Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

All of my kids have started fishing at age 3, and Diana has now followed the tradition. Technically, this is her fourth BG - there is a five fish aggregate limit at Santee Lakes and we were holding out for some bigger ones. This fish was gill-hooked, so I threw it on ice. Shortly after, a school of feeding bass came through the channel and scared off the school of bluegill. I never did get on the fish again after that - should have kept the other three as well; they were bigger than this one :-p

After we couldn't find fish again gave up and headed for the play set, but I think she's hooked on fishing :-)
