I'm in complete awe! What a monumentally huge fish! One-in-a-billion.

aww thanks Bullworm. I am still piecing together the first hand information myself. Just a google search pulls up all kinds of articles and comments from all kinds of sites. And it is interesting to see how many people/authors write about my grandpa like they actually knew him. That is the real sad thing about this story, but I guess that goes along with fame. Please don't fish laying on the ground like the outdoor life photo by Mr. Phillips. That was ridiculous. You'll never pull in a 5 pounder like that!

Thank you so much for sharing this piece of bluegill history with all of us! We, including myself, have heard the legend, dug as far as we could dig, on the lake, the fish, and the people. I can maybe sleep at night now! I haven't in many years!LOL!! Thanks again!
