Sweet thanks. I'll have to look into that spot once I move to San Marcos, I was just passing through that day.

Troy, I look for very similar structure like your talking about, this lake has a lot of gravel points with big rock boulders, I think they attract this kid of fish looking for the snails. Also this lake has a lot of docks where people has put some kind of structure under them, it varies from cinder blocks to xmas tree. I target these docks in 10-15ft of water

I didn't mount it, it was photographed and release, the only mount my wife will allow on the house will be my head LOL

Ah okay, i fished the Guadalupe for the first time under I-35 the other day and i knew that water color looked familiar. Incredible fish

Quick question, what kind of bottoms are you looking for when targeting these big redear? I'm a redear nut and it's all I fish for, I target bottoms in the 10-13 foot depths where there's maybe a hump or creek channel coming through.

You are holding my dream fish. That's the exact fish I've been chasing for the last five years and will continue to chase until he's on my wall. GREAT FISH!! I hope you mount it, one of the best fish ever on this site! Public Water?

Thanks guys

Chris, it is Dunlap lake, one of the guadalupe chain lakes this lake for some reason produces the biggest fish in the winter/spring

David, I'm sure there is a lot of property in the lake for sale
