We have Northeast winds at 25 right now.....fishing is always better in these clearer bodies of water with a good ripple on the surface........

Fixed float with a split shot above the jig......I don't slip float fish very often......the rivers I fish generally are not deep enough.....I use long telescopics when I want to fish deeper......just my preference!

With that kind of wind gust, are you doing the slip float/bobber and slow sink presentation, or just cast and straight sink?

Yep.....boat in the shop for another week.....just had a few crickets left over from yesterday so I went and splashed a couple.....lakes are good for a few hits but especially when the wind is howling like today.....
