I don't know how I missed seeing this gill earlier, but it is one of the most colorful ones I have ever seen. The photo of your fly rod in the back ground made it a perfect picture. That is truly a trophy gill in any part of the country.  Way to go kirbear!!!!!!!

nice! i have seen that color in gills before.we go to lake sara in effingham every april and catch some wiyh that rosy color to them.wish they were that big tho.thanks for sharing

Some folks talked about a Fall colored fish.  This is a repost of a fish caught on April 27 2012 at 9.39 in the morning.  The reel is a Cabelas reel I think.

That is incredible! I've never seen a BG with coloration like that before, it's like he's trying to impersonate a salmon :)

That is one freaking awesome specimen. Coloration is off the chart, and the size is just plain...DANG! Which fly did you manage to hammer it on?
