Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I went this afternoon and got about 70 grass shrimp in a half hour........They are harder to find as the waters get colder.....I caught roughly 13 on this scoop today.......If you look closely you can see a couple shrimp have a peach/pink color tint to them.......Working on two hundred that I want to have for some Bluegill and Crappie trips over the weekend.......Biggest shrimp shown is 2"......

A mix of males and females in this clutch....some of these are even taking on the peach/pink colors that I mimic most often Dick....

Got 167 now getting ready for a Crappie expedition on Veteran's Day.......They are much harder to find in cold water.......

LOL Yes, you can eat it. Can't say they taste the same as their oceanic counter part.

Those are some big grass shrimps! No wonder those fish get so big. I wouldn't be surprise you catch a 18" BG with a 4lbs weight record with this kind of resources of foods for them to feast on.

Find some grass/hydrilla shallow on Lake Murray David and I'll bet you'll catch some.....Eel grass holds mature shrimp as well when you can find it......
