Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I enjoy pleasant surprises when fishing soft plastics shallow like this 15 inch Slab Crappie that was snagged on a jig/cricket combination....

Thanks Ronnie and Troy. It was a great looking Crappie but far from my personal best since I fished Toledo Bend Reservoir for over twenty years. I really like how dark these brackish Crappie get in these rivers and I always catch a few chasing gills all Summer.....This fish will be Crappie Parmesan Derrick.....A really tasty broiled dinner........

Yeah like last night, (2) crab cakes and (3) fried soft shell crabs with some fresh green beans and Sister Schubert's yeast rolls....What a way to go!
