Hey thanks Steve!... what ever is working for me I like to share… just broke my citation count from last year using this setup. Funny looking isn’t it! But works. Rigging it this way causes the waxie to vibrate a bit … maybe causing some extra excitement. Yeah I think the Lepomis focus just on that waxie when hitting. Thanks for taking the time out I appreciate!

Slip, this photo saved the day for me. I've always threaded the waxie on the hook and had a lot of misses where the waxie would get pulled down from the jig head and after a miss or two would eventually get torn up. I ran across this pic a week or so ago and after missing a few too many fish yesterday, decided to try hooking your way. What a difference in my hookup ratio and, the bait seems to last a bit longer. Thanks!
