Took a Green Salted Yum Tube /1/8th oz Jighead at about 15- 20 ' off a Bluff by the Osprey Buoy .4th and last decent Fish

Led Hed , there was something different about this fish to me when I caught it and you may be correct on the Spotted Bass ID . I can't say for sure though !

Tough to see the mouth extension and the fin division on this inexact photo however .I'll have to research catches in that area now however .

Split on the dorsal - didn't jump - corner of the mouth doesn't look like it would pass the eye. Could be a hybrid too. Next time run your finger on the tongue - Spotted Bass is rough.

Led Hed -what makes you say that? I never caught a spotted Bass and don't believe they are in these St.Lawrence River waters .Is it the back lower end of the fish by my right hand that resembles the spots on a Spotted Bass ?

Good fight stayed down though ,no acrobatics. I can tell you Jim that these Saint Lawrence River fish are fat and strong for their length.
