Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Searched a little deeper with such warm water but anything below six feet got sucked up by a bullhead……this is one of 18 today…..also took the jig/live cricket combination…

Below is another with the jig in the top lip……fish finder displayed a cloud of fish …I wondered how many were catfish after catching almost twenty before the thunderstorms approached….I’m even considering targeting them this weekend while Joe is home……..it was fun on a day with triple digit heat index….

Thanks John……you would have enjoyed it yesterday…..I fished a favorite drop off hole where you can catch many different species throughout the year…..I also catch a lot of crappie in the same spot in the winter months…I would pitch the jig in ten feet of water set at six feet and the bullheads would catch it on the fall, it was a good time as they took drag on each hook set….I knew you would like this John….

White Catfish largest of the Bullhead Family! Nice one Jeff. I have only caught a few of them in my Life!
