Adjustable Line Stop
Floats from the late 1800s to 1940s contained components that made the float easier to control for the angler. Components such as this adjustable line holder in the middle of this float offered adjustable depth but most importantly a point to connect the line to hold back on a float and still keep it upright. This connector kept the line beneath the water as well.
